Patricia Barry Levy has degrees in history and photography and has been a photographer for 38 years, first as a photojournalist and then running her own commercial studio, specializing in portraiture for national magazines and corporate publications. A few years ago, she began moving away from assignments and concentrating more on making self-generated work. By combining and layering multiple photographs she delves into the realm of imagination using her camera to construct visual stories. Her digital compositions reflect her concerns about the threats to the natural world. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries and is in numerous corporate collections. Here are selected photographic montages from three of her series "Flowers," "Balancing Act" and "Cloudy Weather."
