Photographers: Lauri R. Dunn

Lauri R. Dunn is a Denver native whose introduction to photography came at the age of 10 when she assisted her mother, who taught photography, in the darkroom. Lauri is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art. Lauri served in the Peace Corps in West Africa (Mauritania) where she oversaw an after-school center for young women. Currently, Lauri is on sabbatical from her position of teaching art to elementary students in Jefferson County. Lauri has been serious about fine art photography for a decade. She has appeared in several regional juried exhibitions. Demonstrated here and shown in a Robert Anderson Gallery exhibition are photos from one of Lauri's bodies of work-butterfly wings.
