Photographers: Jerry Allison

Jerry Allison has a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has exhibited in a number of museums and galleries including the Grey Art Museum of New York University, the New Britain Museum of American Art in Conneticut, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Zolla-Lieberman Gallery in Chicago and the White Gallery and Key Gallery in New York.

The body of work demonstrated in part here is titled the Nature Morte Photographs. Allison is a rambler of the mountains and deserts of the American West. During his travels, he has accumulated many animal bones that he artfully arranges and photographs in natural light. These intriguing arrangements and the source material have many implications for the viewer to consider.
