Jack Brauer, a resident of Ouray, Colorado, is a noted mountaineer and landscape photographer. Jack has a BFA (Printmaking) from the University of Colorado, Boulder where he was primarily interested in intaglio and also lithography, woodcuts and screenprinting. Jack initially photographed with a Tachihara 4x5 large format wooden field camera. In more recent years, Jack utilized a digital camera with tilt-shift and prime wide angle lenses. Jack's striking nature images are usually the result of long treks and back packing, off the beaten path. Jack has accumulated a large portfolio of stunning images of nature from several continents. Jack's images depicted here are predominantly from the mountains and wilderness areas of southwest Colorado.
